EVP, or Electronic Voice Phenomenon, is the capturing of Discarnate voices utilizing audio equipment. Skeptics often say that such recordings are nothing more than white noise, on-site or cross audio contamination, or Pareidolia – the brain simply creating pattern and meaning from random sources – in this case audio. In addition, many parapsychologists attribute EVP’s to living agent PK, meaning that these are actually the result of the living not the deceased. While these explanations may sometimes apply and are worthy of consideration, we certainly can’t say they ‘always’ apply.

For some reason, I am deeply lucky to receive frequent quality EVP’s that in my opinion are not a result of contamination, white noise, or even pareidolia. (NOTE: I really do not believe it is luck at all and I explain why in this post “Why I Get So Many EVP’s & How You Can Too!”) I also do not believe that all of the EVP’s I receive are the result of my own PK or the PK of those around me.

In this post I am sharing one of my better EVP’s. It demonstrates not only intelligent awareness for my presence and thoughts, but also is loud enough to be easily heard and understood.

So let me set up the conditions of the recording. If you look at the above photo, you will see that I am standing in front of the location where the EVP occurred. The property was long and narrow with overgrown grass and unusually uneven ground. Each side of the property was lined with tall evergreens which provided an outstanding noise barrier. The neighborhood was very quiet, the home itself abandoned. We were there at the owner’s request, but due to a mold issue, we could only work outside.

There were three of us on the team – Dave and Leah as well as myself. While Dave and Leah were located at the front of the house, I started to walk behind the home and towards the back of the property. I wanted to assess how large it was. My recorders were already on. I always wear two, and I always turn them on almost immediately upon arriving on-site. I’ve found that some great EVP’s happen even before we officially start the investigation, as well as after we’re complete.

As I am walking alone, about halfway back into the property, I vividly recall saying to myself how I needed to be cautious and watch my step. The grass was long, the bugs were awful, and with each step I was afraid I would fall into an uneven hole. Now, I did not say this out loud. This was a silent thought!

As happens with EVP’s, we never know what we’ve captured on the recording until we come home and analyze the audio. It’s a tedious and time-consuming process, but one which greatly fascinates me. So, as I sat down to start listening to my audio, I could clearly hear the careful crunching of my feet as I walked through the grass. Then all of a sudden, there it was! A voice so loud I couldn’t ignore it. In my excitement, I yelled for my husband to come listen.

At this point in the post, I want you to listen to the audio to see if you can hear what it says without me telling you (referred to as leading or priming). I would suggest that you use headphones and turn up the volume to make it clearer and listen to it a few times.

Now that you have listened, please know that I was completely alone when this EVP happened and based on the volume of the voice, someone would have had to have been standing right next to me in order to produce this sound level. But again, I was alone. The only other two people on-site were not only a good 50 yards away, but they were also in front of the home while I was in the back.

The other fascinating point is that the EVP voice knew what I was doing and thinking! Here I was trying to watch my step, when someone says to me “light and nimble on your feet.” That’s right – listen again. The voice sings the words “light and nimble on your feet.” This indicates a direct intelligence and awareness of my actions, along with a polite warning to be careful.

Now, I know some people will say that I created the voice in an effort for some form of fame or recognition, and quite frankly I understand that mindset because I am often just as skeptical of the recordings of others. The best I can offer is to say that in no way was this voice created by me. I would never falsify information for any personal gain. That’s just not who I am, and those who know me know this to be true. I can’t make skeptics believe it, nor do I care to try, but for those who choose to believe, this EVP was a clear indication of a discarnate being communicating with me and being fully aware of my presence.

There is also another argument for the potential of these EVP’s and it is that they are created by the PK of the living – meaning by me through Psychokinesis.  Of course, someone may not be doing this consciously, but experiments have shown that consciousness does have the ability, through PK, to consciously affect the outcome of random number generators, water samples, and even blood samples just to name a few. As a result of this PK potential, even though I am not intentionally trying to imprint an EVP, my desire for EVP’s may be all the intention that is needed to still create the effect. Because of this, EVP’s are suspect as being created by the intentions of living as opposed to the actual voices of discarnates.

As someone who wants to remain objective and scientific, I cannot argue this potential, but is it one that is a good fit? In this case, I don’t believe that it is.

This EVP is clearly in context to my thoughts and activities which could support that it is my PK. On the other hand, it is stated in an interesting way. It would seem rather odd to me that even if personal PK was to blame, why would it record with such an odd phrase? My thoughts were not about ‘being light and nimble’ but rather about not falling. Perhaps if the words had said ‘don’t fall,’ then I could better accept this EVP as my own PK. The fact that the words were relevant but also highly unique and well-timed indicates to me some form of intelligence.

In addition, if I was so adept at this type of PK, whether intentionally or unintentionally, then this would indicate to me that I should also have countless other EVP’s. It is true that I do often get other EVP’s, so we would have to evaluate if in fact I do have this potential. After all, it is a possibility that we can’t rule out. On the other hand, if I was creating these effects through my own PK, wouldn’t we expect these other EVP’s to also be related to my personal thoughts and actions? Or, would they simply be the result of random words and make no sense? The idea that EVP’s are nothing more than living PK, although plausible, doesn’t always seem to make sense and I have various other quality EVP’s that for me, rule out this likelihood. I believe each EVP has to be evaluated individually for these various alternatives.

The additional argument that this could be nothing more than contamination is to me also absurd. If the audio had been out of context then one could consider that possibility, but what are the odds that some random person or errant signal just happened to call out ‘light and nimble on your feet’ at the time of my walking and having these thoughts. I certainly can’t rule it out, but let’s face it, what are the odds?

We could also argue that this is not a valid EVP at all but rather a random set of sounds that seems to sound like ‘light and nimble on your feet.’ This is pareidolia. I certainly agree that pareidolia is a very real thing and when you sit and listen to hours of audio, your mind starts to play tricks on you. This is why it is important to have others review your findings and for you NOT to tell them what you hear. It is also why clear, unaltered, and loud EVP’s are better bits of evidence, even though the softer ones may still be legitimate.

In the case of this EVP, the raw audio clearly allows the voice and words to be heard, greatly reducing the pareidolia argument. Although the recording here is not as clear as the raw audio because it has been copied and pasted and compressed by the website, you can still recognize the voice and can make out most of the words.

For me, this EVP was of such a quality, in context, and so uniquely expressed that I find it compelling evidence for conscious intelligent interaction. For those who choose to believe it is fraudulent or suspect to other explanations, then feel free. I am sharing it with you from a place of truth as well as excitement for such a finding. These EVP’s always remind me that somewhere out there lies a realm that exists. And even if we can’t see it, we can experience it!
