For Episode 103 of our Project Perspectives podcast, I received an inspired lesson regarding how vanity, a.k.a. ego, affects our psychic connections. It’s a beautiful lesson full of information, so grab your pen and journal and take some notes. “We tend to think of the self as the sole source of psychic information and as the one who initiates the psychic process. However, if we can see that the real process begins with our connection to something and/or someone greater than ourselves, then we rise to a place of greater clarity and sensitivities. It is when we desire something for others that the process truly begins to emerge. That’s not to say we can’t have clarity for ourselves, but rather the overall process of being psychic isn’t meant to predict or tell or even eradicate a problem. It’s to enlighten, uplift, communicate, and reflect back to someone that which they need – or that we need for ourselves. This desire is not born of vanity but rather of care, compassion, empathy, and a desire to serve others. This lack of vanity SUPPORTS and even INITIATES the psychic process because it is coming from a place of love, service, and unity.
