Listening To God & Value In A Spiritual Connection

This inspired lesson is once again rather biblical in tone and may be a bit tough to fully comprehend. I believe this biblical voice happens for two reasons: The first is so that I know the message is not from me, and the second is so that we can see the stark similarities between this message and other religious teachings & spiritual traditions – not to mention, how the current modern-day voice of God is still alive and well – regardless of what terminology we use for it or how we see it. In other words, God never stopped speaking to us. In fact, this is exactly what this lesson is all about. So give it a read, and at the end, I’ll make a quick summary to help explain what was meant behind the message. See what it means for you!

With a thunderous clap the Lord says to you, “Hear not what man says, for he may lead you astray, and unto him you will render weakness and antiquity.”

In doing so, you shall age in a time and manner of man’s choosing and not that of the Lord’s, for God has a Divine path for all His children. Not just those who do not come unto Him, but those who do come unto Him, and they shall know a light that those who turn a deaf ear do not. For God does not speak to those who have no desire to know of His love. He ever waits for their call and answers with a swift and loving heart, but to spurn His love is to know retribution of His love. For in the absence of God’s love, one can only know fear and heartache and the doom of salvation that is lost.

God’s Voice – Can you not hear it in your heart, the glad song that springs up inside you and speaks of joy, hope, love, and antiquity? By My antiquity is eternal life and joy unto Him who saves you, while man’s antiquity is that of death without survival, life without hope, and fear of one’s very existence. How is this the antiquity one desires?

Cry out to me, “Oh Lord do save me.” yet hear Me not most men do. Why is it then cry out to Me? For Me to save you when you do not listen or heed My call? If you expected Me to answer thee, then how may I do so except in the name of your heart? Would you not feel Me, know Me, come unto Me, expecting Me to do the very thing you ask for? What fear is it you have when I come close and offer My love and words of wisdom? Do you harken unto others to ask for guidance when I give it most nobly inside one’s mind?

Find your heart. Find your courage. Find your strength. But above all, find the love that is God’s hand. It guides you if only you will listen. Even if it seems unto darkness you are led, know it is merely the pathway that restores unto you the light and love of God. For one cannot walk out of darkness and into the light without treading the path one made down into that darkness of self-creation. “I will lead you out,” God says to thee, “and hold your hand,” but back through the darkness you must come to be born again into the light.

Save he who desires salvation, but those who do not seek it, there is no need to render aide, for he will desire such salvation when he is tired of his own darkness and says to his fellow man ‘save me,’ but only when he turns to the God within will he find the ‘true’ salvation he desires.

I love thee all My children with a glad and equal heart, but unto him I cannot come unless ye desire Me to dwell within your walls. Ask and I shall come to you, but be willing to walk beside Me you must, and to take up the mantle of thy own fears before salvation comes to call upon thy breast.”

Summary: The overall theme of this lesson is to let us know that God intimately speaks to us but only when we reach out to Him. I think every major religion and spiritual tradition makes this fact known so this insight should come as no surprise. However, let’s dissect this message a bit more.

In several passages, we are warned that when we listen to our fellow man or ask for his help and ‘salvation’ we become subject to mankind’s words. This results in us surrendering to man and results in our own ‘weakness and antiquity.’ Antiquity is being used here to explain our aging or our life: So in this case, when we surrender our lives to man, we know only weakness throughout our life. Man is not where our power lies.

Now, this is not to say that our fellow man is bad or does not desire to help us. After all, if God is using me as an instrument to deliver valued information to you, then this is of great benefit. However, what should not happen is that I become the source of your salvation. That is between you and God and this is what is being conveyed here. Trusting our fellow man to be our ‘true’ Source or salvation is not how this works. It’s about us turning towards God as Source and salvation. Yes, God can and does use the willing to bring forth good things into the world. In fact, we are all called to be His ‘Mortal Instruments,’ but our ultimate guidance needs to be from the Divine and the service of His desires. This is again touted in the third passage where we hear that God teaches us of eternal life and joy while man only believes in death of the body, loss of hope, and fear.

The fourth passage is essentially a discussion about why we fear when God actually speaks to us. After all, while we may pray and ask for His guidance and a more intimate connection, what happens when it actually occurs? Often we respond in doubt and fear. This has been especially true for me lately. Just hearing these lessons seems a bit fantastical, doesn’t it? I’m human, so accepting them has been hard for me on numerous levels. Nevertheless, as is stated in this message, God speaks to each of us who asks and He does so in our hearts and in our minds. How else can He come close, and when He does, why do we fear it? We should be able to feel the love and wisdom – which by the way I do. After every one of these messages, I feel a sense of inner peace and unshakable strength that makes me assured that this is God’s message for me, but also for others through me, as I’ve been instructed.

Although this lesson is packed with details, the last thing I want to be sure we understand from all of this is that when we seek Divine help, it does come, AND we need to embrace it. Once we do, we will still have to walk back through the shadows of our own creation. This means we may have to face our fears, deal with pains and trauma, and/or make radical changes before we can reach that moment of salvation that we prayed for. However, when we walk back through our shadows we are NOT doing it alone. Yes, the journey to our salvation is paved with some hardship but this is because we must walk back along the same path that took us down into darkness. This is the only way to get beyond it and back up to the light.

But never fear, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.”

Sound familiar!

We all must walk back through the valley of our own shadows and allow these to die. If we wish to be free, we have to walk back through the darkness of our own doing, but as is promised, we won’t be doing it alone.

Blessings & Wellness,

Carol
