Inspired Lesson On ‘The Four Tiers of Fear’

All Posts, Channeled Insights, Optimizing Well-Being

I laid in bed one morning, trying to pry myself out of the sheets when I psychically received the outline for The Four Tiers of Fear. This quick and easy inspired lesson highlights the four types of fears, allowing you to examine where yours fall and how to address each. Although dealing with fear is never simple and easy, at the very least, perhaps these insights can help you hone in on the easier ones and get to work reversing them. What is written below is that inspired lesson:

The lesson in ‘The Four Tiers of Fears’ is designed to provide modifications in the system for fear-based responses and expectations.

Tier One: A fear that is brief and in direct response to an ingrained fear – fear of heights, spiders, snakes, falling, etc.

Solution: Tier One Fears are easy and simple. Granted they are important and generate a real sense of fear, but they are tied to the fight-or-flight response that the body associates with a negative event. These are short-lived, and whether rational or not, tend to vanish of their own accord once the situation has been remedied or removed.

Tier Two: A programmed fear learned through the fears of others: media fears, parental fears passed down, cultural and religious fears.

Solution: Tier Two Fears can be deeply troublesome in that they are not our own. They actually were given to us as ‘gifts’ by others. From what people tell us to do or believe, to what to fear. We find that these fears may appear irrational to us and yet still feel very real. That’s because these are fears that we buy into because someone else told us they were important. When we can see into these fears and realize that they actually are not a part of our experience, we can release them back to those who gave them to us in the first place. This could be people such as parents and friends, or it could be entities such as media, news, big industry, religion, and even education.

Tier Two Fears may be given to us by others innocently, due to false information, lack of knowledge, and/or their own perceived fears, but they may also be given to us intentionally, to cause harm and to create control over us. One is innocent and deadly, while the other is malicious and deadly.

Turning Tier Two Fears around means safeguarding against the fears that others try to project upon us, innocently or maliciously. If a fear is not part of your actual life experience, then ask yourself if it is founded on the fears and projections of others, and if so, why? If it is to control you, then be warned and look further into such motives for potential harm, thus turning your fear into awareness. If done so innocently, recognize no harm was intended. Let it go and accept that it was their fear and not your own.

Tier Three: A fear in the ‘now’ moment that is based on anxiety – public speaking, performance anxiety, nervousness about an upcoming action or event.

Solution: Tier Three Fears are self-imposed yet triggered by outside events. These come across as anxiety, nervousness, and a sense of impending doom, however, there is typically never any real harm present: Merely an unpleasant sensation that what is about to happen will have negative ramifications as opposed to positive ones. In this way, the event seems larger than its possibilities. If, however, we can turn our awareness from one of potential disaster to one of potential benefit, we should be able to release the impending fear and sink into the experience. That’s not to say this is easy, but in order to embrace the experience, we must realize it is not more powerful than we are. We merely believe it to be.

Tier Four: Fear that is projected and forecasted into the future but based on limited knowledge and more on personal perceptions: I’m going to fail, what happens if I try, fear of dying, I can’t, maybe I will get hurt, what if, maybe, perhaps.

Solution: Tier Four Fears are also self-imposed and the most powerful fears we face as they come from a place of imagination and contemplation. These fears are conjured up as demons but they are merely smoke and mirrors, thoughts allowed to fester until we feel trapped by the very thing we think. Here, the real enemy is only the mind! There is no one to blame, no event to take place, merely the imagined failures, ramifications, and repercussions of those thoughts that take hold inside. It is not easy to quell these fears because it is we ourselves who have allowed them to take hold. Therefore, it is only we who can set them aside. This is difficult to do when we have given them life and now hold them dear, but at some point, we must realize that what we have come to think is only that – a thought! It is not real, and may not even be a possibility, only one that you imagine hoping will never come to pass. Yet why do you ponder only that potential as opposed to its antithesis? Is it not possible to think thoughts of power and hope rather than despair and resignation? You have full control over these thoughts for no one and nothing put them there but you. Tier Four Fears are the most powerful because we have created them, but they are also some of the easiest to resolve because we have given them their life. Therefore, we also have the power to surrender them unto death. Do not feed the fear that you ignited but rather dim its light with new thoughts. Take a different approach in your thinking and shatter the fears that enslave you. For no one else can do this but you!

Summary: Next time you fear, ask which of the four tiers your fear falls into. Perhaps it is one or perhaps the fear is compounded and thus needs unraveling. Either way, find the fears in these four, identify, and resolve as needed. Those in Tier One & Two do not belong to you. See them, then set them free. Those in Tier Three & Four require your direct attention in the mind, a shifting of one’s self into the now, and a reality check for what is happening in the world around you, but more importantly, within!

Post Note: It also happens that when I receive these inspired lessons, I often have my own doubts or questions after the fact. As a result, I wanted to know about the fears that are associated with our past traumas & pains. For example, if we suffer a traumatic attack or emotionally abusive situation, what type of fear would that encompass. These seem to fall into both Tier Three and Tier Four fears. The reality of the situation is that the trauma we experienced is now an event of our past. In reality it is behind us but we carry the fears of it happening again into our future. This means the fear was triggered by an outside event but we may also take these fears and project them into the future and onto other situations. I understand that dealing with such fears is not easily dealt with and this inspired lesson is not meant to minimize our fears. It was short and to the point but perhaps a way for us to evaluate what type of fear we may be dealing with and potential ways for understanding how it may be affecting our lives. Actually removing or conquering the fear itself is never an easy process.

Blessings & Wellness,

Carol
