The Energy Cure is a good read told in story-like fashion. Although it presents science and the proof of the ability for Energy Healing through various experiments, it is shared in a way that is highly engaging and easy to understand – no science mumbo-jumbo to confuse the lay person.

What I liked most about this book was the author’s personal encounters with the Psi process and the struggles he faced from the science and academia that claims to seek the truth no matter what, yet scoffs at the evidence of psi potential.

Bengston also offers techniques to assist with the healing process. Although I must confess, I personally did not find these really addressed the root of how energy healing works. However, the author is quick to share that one does not have to believe in energy healing or understand it for it to work. As he demonstrated through various experiments, he taught the same techniques to skeptical students as well as open-minded students and all had success – even while not understanding the process. This, he indicates, means that healing is not a belief system but rather a science. It works whether we understand it or not and has an innate understanding of what to do, much the same as the body has an innate understanding of how to heal itself.

For those who are psi-expressive and focused on energy healing, you may wanted a more in-depth understanding of the energetic process. As a healer himself, he eludes to sensing what he calls “Source” energy and to using it for others, but as a scientist, I believe that he refrained from sharing more. Then again, perhaps he did share honestly and I am the one who is making it too complicated.

Either way, in my opinion this is a quick and easy read and really helps you to appreciate energy healing as well as some of the simple science that supports its reality. It was published in 2010 so it is a bit older. There is more current science now available, but this does make his struggle or his findings obsolete. In fact, they are now supported more than prior years.

William Bengston also offers techniques in his book to help people learn a way to enhance their positive energy through what he calls Image Cycling. This positive energy is key to successful healing. If nothing else, I found these beneficial for the manifesting of our desires – by the way, also a form of Expressive Psi. I’m not sure for me that I could use this process during healing but I understand the premise of using it to ensure that when we are healing, we are winding up our energy as opposed to slowing it down. I ensure that I always ‘wind up’ my energy when doing my psi work even though I am psi-informative as opposed to psi-expressive. Nevertheless the concept still applies to both forms of psi, so this advice made perfect sense to me from an energetic perspective.

You can pick up a used copy of his book pretty cheap. Bengston also has an amazing website and numerous You-Tube videos. He was a previous president for the Society for Scientific Exploration with a respected academic background as well as personal psi-related experiences. He now offers workshops promoting his healing methods and those who utilize them have claimed amazing successes.
